Nahant Interiors Nov 2009
My project from this semester started as an interest in personal spaces and wanting to describe the inhabitants of a home by photographing them and their environment. Because most people are very unwilling to let a stranger into their home and photograph it, I had to start with the people who would let me into their homes, my family. These photographs are the result of spending the majority of the semester with my grandparents in their home in Nahant. The project developed from a study of people in their environment, to almost a re-introduction to my grandparents and to their life. I really enjoyed all of the time I spent with them and hopefully I can continue this project in someway in the future.

Michael's House Nov 2009
For my semester project the first half of junior year I focused on photographing interior spaces and homes. I was interested in showing the personal aesthetics which describe the spaces people live in. Specifically I photographed homes of my family, my brother and my grandparents. Photographing my brother's house was definitely an experience, even though I only spent one day there. The house he lives in is shared by four other college guys, a factor that greatly contributes to the aesthetic and feel within the house.
